Man charged over Heathridge crash that killed motorcyclist

A 39-year-old man has been charged over a crash in Perth’s north the claimed the life of a young motorcyclist.

It is alleged the man was driving a white Toyota Land Cruiser on Hodges Drive in Heathridge around 3.20pm on Tuesday when he collided into the back of the motorcycle and four other cars that were stationary.

The 23-year-old motorcycle rider received critical injuries and was rushed to Joondalup Health Campus where he later died.

The drivers of the other five vehicles were also taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and will appear in court on January 30.
