Actor Rip Torn has passed away, aged 88.

Another Hollywood legend has left us.

Hollywood actor Rip Torn has died at the age of 88.

According to a statement released by his family, Torn “Passed away peacefully” at his home in Connecticut with his wife and daughters by his side. 

Torn has a huge rap sheet of movies and TV under his belt, including this little gem alongside David Bowie in the Man Who Feel to Earth.

He won an Emmy for his portrayal of the bombastic lawyer in The Larry Sanders Show and was more recently known for his role in the Men of Black Franchise, and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. 

 

Time have put together a lovely homage to the actor, who was Rip Torn.
