'That's when sibling rivalry kicked in.'
Aussie action hero, Chris Hemsworth has opened up to Wmagazine about how he almost lost the role of Thor to his younger brother, Liam Hemsworth.
Hemworth said, "I came in to do the audition, with Kenneth Branaugh, thought I nailed it and never heard anything back. But my little brother, was in Australia and sent a tape across. He got a callback, got another callback, and was down to the last four or five people in it."
Meanwhile, Hemsworth was in Vancouver shooting Cabin in the Woods when he got the word that none of the other guys got it and his manager mentioned Chris again to the director, which got him a second invitation to do another read for the role of Thor.
"That second audition was a lot different to the first one, Chris said. "I came in with a lot of motivation, and maybe frustration, that my little brother had gotten further than me. Sibling rivalry kicked up in me, and it moved pretty quickly from there.”
And the rest is history.
We can't image anyone else playing the Marvel superhero. Can you?
