Is our favourite pop-singer ready to start a family?
Ed Sheeran has reportedly announced he is taking a break from music.
He confirmed his temporary retirement during the final date of his Divide tour in Ipswich, England, saying, “This is my last gig for probably 18-months.
He also posted a tribute on Twitter, "9 million people, 893 days, 46 countries, 175 cities, 260 shows, 268 touring crew, 193265 miles travelled, 2 broken arms, 3 marriages, 4 babies. What a wild ride this Divide tour has been."
Of course, Sheeran recently got married to his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn and they pair have made no secret about the excitement of starting a family.
Plus, Ed will also be dealing with legal battles over his music, including one with allegations that he ripped of Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get it On in his Thinking out Loud track. The estate is suing Sheeran for US 100 million (AU 148 mil).
But don't worry, he can afford it. Ed's officially set the record for highest-grossing tour, logging $775.6 million on 8.9 million tickets at 255 performances over two-and-a-half years. The previous record was held by U2.
We love ya Ed!
Take a well-earned rest and we'll see you in a few years.
