A true story based on a revolutionary comedian in the 70s.
Eddie Murphy has been rather quiet these past few years, probably because of his ever expanding brood of children.
(Ten and counting).
He recently announced the sequel to his 80s hit Coming to America, and now has another project launching on Netflix.
The comedian will play Rudy Ray Moore - a comedy and rap pioneer who proved naysayers wrong when his hilarious, obscene, kung-fu fighting alter ego, Dolemite, who became a 1970s blaxploitation phenomenon - in the Netflix film, Dolemites is My Name, which also features Wesley Snipes, Chris Rock and Keegan-Michael Key.
It airs on Netflix in September.
