Initial release of tickets for Ed Sheeran on Friday March 2 had organisers concerned about the pedestrian bridge, however Perth Stadium has now issued an additional allocation.
Good news for Ed Sheeran fans if you missed out on the mad rush to get tickets to his Perth gigs in 2018, the state government together with Frontier Touring have announced this morning that an additional allocation of 15,000 tickets will be released.
While the pedestrian foot bridge is not expected to be completed in time for the concert, the Minister for Sport & Recreation Mick Murray allowed the cap of tickets to be increased for a one-off instance.
Frontier Touring's Michael Gudinski was pleased with the decision:
“We’re very appreciative that the WA Government are able to confirm the increase in capacity for Ed Sheeran’s Friday 2nd March Perth Stadium concert.
As the very first outdoor stadium show of Ed’s worldwide tour, it’s going to be a special one, and we’re thrilled that he will be able to play to the full capacity that this fantastic new Perth venue can provide.”
Additional tickets will go on pre-sale Thursday September 7 3pm WA Time for Frontier Members
General Public tickets will be available Monday September 11 1pm WA Time
