Sia drove from Melbourne to Sydney to make her gig after flight was cancelled.
There is no doubting that Sia loves her Aussie fans – but driving 13 hours from Melbourne to get to her Sydney gig, shows you just how far she’ll go (878 km's to be exact).
On Saturday night (December 1), Sia was set to finish her first Australian tour in years with a huge performance at Sydney’s Alliance Stadium, but her plane got cancelled due to severe weather – so she and her crew hopped in a car and raced against time to make the concert (through the severe weather), including a blown tire and a bout of 'tummy pain.'
The Aussie hit-maker kept her fans updated via Twitter as they eagerly awaited her arrival in the rain.
I may be five minutes late. We couldn't catch a plane due to weather, so drove thirteen hours then blew a tire which has given me crazy diarrhea. Bear with me guys. I love you.— sia (@Sia) 2 December 2017
Four minutes from venue. Fully dressed. Ready to go. Bear with me. Massive apologies.— sia (@Sia) 2 December 2017
It’s like a scene out of Get Him to the Greek.
Sia finally made the concert (a little late) – and fans were not disappointed - although she just stood still, singing from under her oversized wig.
Thank God Maddie Ziegler was there to dance for everyone's entertainment.
*Hey Caio, how was Sia last Saturday??*— Caio Ferraz (@itscaioferraz) 4 December 2017
Bizarrely amazing and visually mind-blowing!! But it would’ve been better if she had hired me as her dancer 🕺🏼😂😂😂 @Sia #siasydney #siaconcert @anabela713 pic.twitter.com/s0LBBnBake
Anyone who goes to a @Sia gig should know the score or else they've been living under their own black-and-white wig. She lets her vocals do the talking while maintaining her mystery. The gig in Sydney was exactly what I expected and her voice sounded extraordinary #Sia #siasydney— Danielle McGrane (@DanielleMcGrane) 4 December 2017
