Tributes continue to flood in.
The sad news of Mac Miller's death has sent shock waves throughout the music world.
Malcolm James McCormick, known professionally as Mac Miller, was an American rapper, singer and record producer.
The well-loved rapper died in his home in LA on Friday morning of a suspected drug overdose. He was just 26 years old.
Hours after his death, his family released this heartbreaking statement to E! News.
Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans," they wrote. "Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.
Miller's shock death comes weeks after his successful new album release, Swimming -- which debuted at number two on the Billboard charts.
He was also meant to kick off his US tour next month.
Tributes have flooded in including one from his mother, Karen Meyers, who posted this sweet photo of the two of them together at an NFL game earlier this year, watching their team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, play at a home game.
Sir Elton John dedicated his ballad Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me to Miller, at his Pennsylvania show.

Ariana Grande, who dated Miller for two years, posted a picture of happier times, when they were together.
You can see her cute, white shoes in the frame as a besotted Miller stares up at her.
The pair had quite a public break up in May with his substance abuse becoming too much for Ariana to live with, but the pair still openly supported each other and remained friends.
A few months later she announced her engagement to SNL comedian Pete Davidson.
Some (misinformed) fans have blamed Grande for the rapper's untimely death, which has made her disable her comments on Instagram over the cruel things that were being aimed at her.
Which by the way, is total misogyny and unacceptable. No one is ever to blame for another's actions.
