Miley's latest single is a moving reflection on her failed relationship with Liam Hemsworth

Miley once again bravely shares her vulnerability through song.

Miley Cyrus has dropped a banger of a breakup single called Slide Away, and the lyrics seem to elude to her recent split with Aussie husband Liam Hemsworth, including a line about missing those (Sydney?!) 'harbour lights'.

Dissect the lyrics for yourself and let us know what you think ...

'Slide Away'
Wooh, wooh, wooh
Wooh, wooh, wooh

Once upon a time it was paradise. Once upon a time i was paralyzed;
Think i'm gonna miss these harbour lights, but it's time to let it go.
Once upon a time it was made for us. Woke up one day and it turned to dust.
Baby we were found, but now we're lost , so it's time to let it go

I want my house in the hills. Don't want the whiskey or pills
I don't give up easily, but I don't think i am down.

So won’t you slide away
Back to the ocean, I’ll go back to the city lights
So won’t you slide away
Back to the ocean, nahh nah nah you’ll slide away
So won’t you slide away
Back to the ocean, I’ll go back to the city lights
So won’t you slide away
Back to the ocean, nahh nah nah you’ll slide away

Move on we're not 17, I'm not who i used to be.
You say that everything changed. You're right, we're grown now.

This isn't the first time Miley has penned a song about their 10-year relationship, first meeting on the set of The Last Song in 2009.

Back in 2013, the power couple split up after becoming engaged. Miley then released the emotive single Wrecking Ball.

And then when they got back together a few years later in 2016, it was the gorgeous reconciliation ballad Malibu.

Is this the end of their relationship in song?

Meanwhile, Liam has been laying low with his brother Chris Hemsworth in his Bondi Beach family home, and released this statement to his Insta last week.

'Hi all Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.'

We're not crying! You're crying. 😭😭😭
