Congrats to the Sydney singer/songwriter.
Australia, you have crowned your Eurovision Champion for 2020… the eclectic Sydney singer songwriter Montaigne, who performed her quirky single Don’t Break Me, whilst busting out her signature contemporary dance moves, dressed as a sad clown.
The artist beat nine other acts in the televised show held on the SBS Gold Coast last night winning with a total of 107 votes, beating out Kasey Donovan by 7 votes, and Vanessa Amorosi who scored 82. (See their performances below).
She posted to socials thanking fans... "THE MOST INSANE NIGHT EVER — I’M GOING TO EUROVISION — LIFE IS CRAZY — THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ME."
Montaigne heads to the Eurovision Finals in the Netherlands in May to compete for the crown. w
Here is Kasey Donovan's epic performance of Proud which scored 100.
And Vanessa Amorosi's Lessons of Love which scored 82.
