The woman were in solidarity at this year's 75th Golden Globe Awards held in L.A. when most turned up on the red carpet dressed in black.
But why black??
Well, the call to wear all black was initiated by the founders of Time's Up, an alliance of around 300 actresses and Hollywood executives, governed by the likes of Natalie Portman and Eva Longoria. Time's Up has already raised in excess of $15 million for a legal defence fund for women who are victims of sexual abuse.
Of course, this was all triggered with the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment cases and women worldwide uniting to say 'enough is enough' and your 'time's up'. It was also a stand against the gender pay gap.
Ironically, the most Golden Globes went to Limited TV series Big Little Lies with Nicole Kidman taking out Best Actress for her role as the victim of domestic abuse.
The TV series also won Best Drama in a Limited Series, Best Supporting Actor went to Alex Skarsgard and Laura Dern took out Best Supporting Actress.
Elisabeth Moss won Best Actress in a Drama TV Series with the dystopian series, The Handmaid's Tale, which also took out Best Drama in a TV Series.
It was definitely ladies night as Oprah Winfrey was honoured with the Cecille de Mille Award by another strong female in the Hollywood industry, Reece Witherspoon.
“I want all of the girls watching here now to know, that a new day is on the horizon.” @Oprah accepts the 2018 Cecil B. de Mille award. #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/hbquC1GBjm
