If this doesn't make you feel nostalgic, I don't know what will.
If you hadn’t heard Packed to the Rafters (and the original series) is coming back to our screens in a reboot series titled Back to the Rafters.
Originally airing in 2008 and ending in 2013, the Aussie drama series was nominated for 42 Logie Awards and won 13.
Now, Amazon Prime have given us our first look at the Rafter family, almost a decade later.
The Back to the Rafters storyline picks up a few years after we last saw the Rafter family. Dave and Julie have created a new life in the country with youngest daughter Ruby, while the older Rafter children face new challenges and Grandpa Ted struggles to find his place. As Dave enjoys his new-found freedom, Julie must reconcile her responsibilities to the family.
Hugh Sheridan who plays Ben Rafter, also posted the happy news, saying, "FINALLY the WHOLE WORLD will get to meet the Rafter Family!!! Not only that but we have a whole new series coming too! Back to the Rafters is coming to Amazon Prime Video in 2021. It was joyous to step into my favourite character again, Ben Rafter is just the same goofy soul he always was, only six years have passed and his world has changed somewhat... Rafters reunion was a highlight in a bleak year for us entertainers, thank you to @channel7 & @primevideoaunz for helping us complete the series safely."
Most of the original actors have returned to reprise their roles, including Hugh Sheridan, Michael Caton and Rebecca Gibney, although Jessica Marais dropped out at the last minute and has been replaced by WAAPA graduate Georgina Haig.
Back to the Rafters is set to air later this year on Amazon Prime.
