Silver-screen legend Doris Day has died aged 97

"Today a ray of sunshine left us."

It's a sad day for Hollywood as one of our most iconic stars of the silver screen, Doris Day, has passed away at the age of 97. 


The wholesome, blonde beauty graced many a silver screen with her roles in classic movies such as Pillow Talk, What Will Be, and Calamity Jane making her one of the biggest movie stars of the 50’s and 60’s. 

Tributes have flooded in from many celebrities, including Goldie Hawn, who said, "The great Doris Day left us and took a piece of the sun with her."


William Shatner, Seth MacFarlane and Paul McCartney were among many others who posted heartfelt tributes.
