The force is still with us...
The latest instalment in the Star Wars film franchise has smashed it’s opening weekend in cinemas, raking in over $230 million at the international box office.
This makes it the second biggest launch weekend of all time in Australia behind it's predecessor “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and is just the fourth film to open above $260 million in the country.

Worldwide the film made $450 million in its opening weekend making it the fifth best performing movie on an opening weekend of all time behind “Fate of the Furious” at $541 million, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $529 million, “Jurassic World” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.”
Scoring critical acclaim with a score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes; "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamel and the late Carrie Fisher is in cinemas now.
