"Boy Erased" is said to be a 'coming of age drama' about a boy coming-out, based on the 2016 book Boy Erased: A Memoir by Garrard Conley and will be directed by Australia's own Golden Globe nominee, Joel Edgerton, known for his international success in the films The Great Gatsby and Exodus: Gods and Kings.
Sivan will star alongside Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Russel Crowe as well as Manchester By The Sea's breakout star Lucas Hedges and surprising inclusion Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist, Flea.
Although it seems a breakout role for Sivan, he's actually no stranger to the acting world, starring as young Wolverine or Logan in X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2007.
"Boy Erased" is set for release 2018.
