Allen and Darling boot five each in Eagles win

More injuries for the Eagles have marred a 27-point victory over Collingwood on Friday night.

The West Coast tall timber going to work as Jack Darling and Oscar Allen booted five goals each in the 16.7.103 to 11.10.76 triumph.

Dom Sheed at his best again booting three goals when the game was at the crossroads in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 41-point lead that Pies couldn't reel in during the last quarter.

Coach Adam Simpson post-game said he was still looking for a full four quarter performance from his side.

“We’re still looking for four quarters. Our best is really good but we haven’t played four quarters.”

“We were a bit scratchy in parts. We’ve got a bit of work to do.”

Tom Cole and Josh Rotham had a sickening head clash in the last quarter with both coming from the ground bleeding.

“Coley and Roth are okay. He’s got a cut from eyebrow to eyebrow. They were smiling and giggling in the medical room. We’ve dodged a bullet.”
