Bruce named in Diamonds squad

West Coast Fever skipper Courtney Bruce has been named in the Australian Diamonds World-Cup squad.

Bruce was the only Fever player named in the 12-player squad and has only recently recovered from an elbow injury.

She wasn't the only West Aussie chosen with Caitlin Basset also included.

Fever goal-shooter Jhaniele Fowler will play for her home country Jamaica.

Only three players from the 2015 World Cup winning squad have kept their place as the Diamonds shoot for four titles in a row.

The tournament begins in July and will be held in the UK.
