City to face top of the table Knights

Mandurah City are chasing their first win of the season when they take on top of the table Western Knights on Saturday.

City have taken away a draw and two losses from the opening three games of the season and are sitting second last on the first division table.

Local sporting teams were also thrown into chaos over the weekend with matches called off due to the three-day lockdown.

Coach Kris Donnall believes the clash against the Knights will be a whole different challenge after defeating them during the night series.

"We know this is a whole different game for us, we are desperate to get some points on the board and the boys are really up for it." Donnall said.

"Over the last couple of weeks we've been looking to improve on things we haven't done so well, we've also signed Robbie Galvin who has come over from Ireland, he's just completed his quarantine and he's a big booster for us."

"He's an exciting player young Robbie, he was over here a few years a go played for Shamrock as well, he'll give us something a bit different to the team."
