Claremont FC address Ugle hecklers

Peel Thunder have accepted Claremont's action against spectators who taunted senior player Gerald Ugle on Saturday.

A group of supporters from a balcony in a privately owned apartment heckled Ugle throughout the afternoon and the behaviour was witnessed by Ugle's wife and children.

Claremont FC in a statement said "We have spoken to the tenant in question about what we consider appropriate barracking and expressed our Club’s position on verbal exchanges with players on the field.

"If antisocial behaviour is reported in future from the residences surrounding the oval, the matter will be conveyed to the strata management company responsible for the respective dwellings and dealt with internally."
