Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley has tested positive to COVID-19 and is isolating at home in Melbourne.
Hockley was experiencing mild symptoms and undertook a PCR test to confirm the positive result.
He has no direct contact with the Test team and therefore had not added any extra concern ahead of the SCG fixture beginning on Wednesday.
In a statement Hockley said: "Over recent days, we have seen cases in relation to the Australian men's Ashes team and some of the BBL teams. It is a reminder of the complexity COVID-19 presents for major sporting events and the importance of being vaccinated, getting a booster as soon as possible, and getting tested as soon as symptoms present themselves.''
