Optus Stadium will host a historic day night Test match when Australia hosts New Zealand in December.
Cricket Australia announced its summer of cricket on Tuesday with the Perth Test match to begin on Thursday December 12.
It will be the first of three Test matches against the Kiwis as after the match in WA the series heads to Melbourne and Sydney.
WACA CEO Christina Matthews said securing the match is very exciting for members and fans.
“It will be a truly unique experience, especially given the state-of-the-art lighting technology that will be on show when the sun goes down at Perth Stadium." Matthews said.
“Australia has enjoyed a great rivalry with New Zealand in recent years, so we’re extremely fortunate to secure the first match of the series and the spectacle of a day-night Test will only add to the occasion.”
Perth will also host it's first T20 International for the first time in a decade when the Aussies host Pakistan on Friday November 8.
