The Dockers have won a two-point back a forth thriller over the Sydney Swans at Optus Stadium.
Fremantle held on in the dying minutes, with club champion Luke Ryan spoiling the Swans' last forward entry with 14 second left to seal the 12.14 (86) to 13.6 (84) win, which keeps the Dockers in the top-eight hunt.
Rory Lobb was outstanding for the home side booting four goals while Lachie Shultz was the other multiple goal scorer with two majors.
Coach Justin Longmuir expressed in his post-match press conference how proud he was of his teams efforts.
"I thought we really turned up the heat in the second half. Asked our players to own the ball in the contest and the pressure we put on them in our front half gave us opportunities." Longmuir said.
"They challenged us in the last quarter, and I am so proud they were able to hit the front and hold on."
The only sour note for Dockers was Matt Taberner leaving the ground with a lower right leg injury. Scans will reveal the true extent of the injury over the coming days.
