Dockers defender Alex Pearce will miss the rest of the AFL season after suffering a fracture to his left ankle.
Pearce sat out the final quarter of the game against Collingwood on Saturday and required crutches to get around after the game.
The 23-year-old was touted by some commentators as being in All-Australian form up until the injury on the weekend.
It's a cruel blow for Pearce who spent 672 days on the sidelines after complications with a broken right leg in 2017.
Meanwhile, second-year player Stefan Giro injured his ACL playing for Peel Thunder on Sunday and will also miss the rest of the season.
