Dockers midfielder sidelined

Dockers midfielder Connor Blakely is set to be on the sidelines for 12-14 weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The injury occurred during Friday's training session and Blakely will consult a surgeon to determine whether surgery is required.

Scans on Saturday confirmed a high-grade tear with damage to an internal tendon in the muscle, not the tendon that attaches the muscle to the bone.

General manager of football operations Peter Bell said they hoped he would be able to return at some point during the first half of the season and have an impact.
