Eagles spread wings against Dogs

The Eagles have piled on 14-second half goals to blow away the Western Bulldogs by 61-points.

Jack Darling equaled a career best six-goals to boost the home side to a 21.7.133 to 10.12.72 triumph.

Josh Kennedy booted three goals and Jake Waterman three third quarter majors to help his side burst back into the top four on the AFL ladder.

Eagles skipper Shannon Hurn spent the entire final quarter on the bench with a tight hamstring otherwise the Eagles came away unscathed.

Coach Adam Simpson couldn't confirm whether Hurn would face the Swans at the SCG next Sunday.

"He's just got a bit of a tight hamstring, so we took the precaution and didn't play him in the last quarter, but we'll see how we go," Simpson said.

Andrew Gaff led from the front with 36-disposals to lead all on the ground and Luke Shuey also had 30-touches.
