Josh Kennedy booted five goals on his return from injury to lift West Coast to an 80-point win over the Gold Coast.
It was a clinical performances from the Eagles, celebrating Nic Naitanui (game 150) and Mark LeCras (game 200) milestones in style recording a 21.13.139 to 9.5.59 victory.
An eight-goal second term and six-goal last quarter was where the Eagles really took advantage of a tired Suns outfit.
Coach Adam Simpson said they will take the win and enjoy it but move on pretty quickly.
“At the moment they’re events. We’ve had a couple of events. We’re still establishing our brand. We’re playing with spirit and we’ve got as much unity as I’ve ever seen.” Simpson said.
Daniel Venables was helped from the ground with an ankle injury and will be assessed at the beginning on the week.
West Coast face Carlton next Saturday at the MCG.
