South Mandurah's Andrew Haydon has been crowned the 2017 Ross Elliott Medallist.
Haydon was adjudged the best and fairest player in the Peel Football League as voted by the umpires and won by six votes to nearest rival Pinjarra's Rohan Kerr.
The midfielder spent 12 months at Peel Thunder and said he was glad he returned to playing for South Mandurah.
“I really just wanted to get back to loving footy again, so playing with my mates at South Mandurah was a way for me to do that." Haydon said.
“This year’s been so enjoyable – I’m glad I came back.”
Baldivis and Waroona will meet in the preliminary final of the Peel Football League on Saturday at Falcon Oval.
The match will be broadcast live on 1116 6MM from 2pm.
