Glory made to fight hard in triumph

Perth Glory will host the A-League final for the first time in the clubs history after surviving a penalty shootout.

In a clash that had everything the two sides were locked at 2-all after 90-minutes and 3-all after 120-minutes.

A cool and calm Joel Chianese scored the decider putting it past Adelaide keeper Paul Izzo to make it 5-4 from penalties.

Diego Castro scored the two goals in regular time before a Scott Neville header in the 104th minute gave the Glory the lead.

Liam Reddy was the hero for Perth saving four penalties and scoring one of his own.

Perth will host the final at Optus Stadium which is likely to be next Sunday.
