Jericho Missile launches to victory

Jericho Missile has stormed home to win the $250,000 Magic Millions WA 2YO classic at Pinjarra Park.

The two-year-old turned for home in sixth and in the concluding stages rounded up Niccovi by a short neck while race favourite Miss West Coast finished third.

Trainer David Harrison paid $77,500 for Jericho Missile during last years Magic Million sales in Adelaide. 

The win also gave champion jockey William Pike his maiden win in the two-year-old event. 

Pike picked up the ride after Paul Harvey sustained an ankle injury, he also won the Thoroughbred Breeders WA Pearl Classic on Mikimoto. 

Three-year-old Shamizdat won the Magic Millions WA three-year-old trophy.
