Mariners race to outright victory

A nine wicket haul from Craig Simmons has bowled Rockingham-Mandurah to outright victory against Bayswater-Morley.

The Mariners posted 179 in their first innings before the Bears could only muster 112 in response with Simmons claiming six wickets.

Rockingham-Mandurah elected to bat again with plenty of overs left in the days play hitting a quick fire 6/193 before declaring.

Skipper Aaron Burrage top scoring with 72 from 63 balls including eight fours and two sixes.

The declaration left Bayswater-Morley a target of 261 to chase in the fourth innings of the game and claim victory.

In just 15-overs they were rolled for just 97 as Simmons claimed another three wickets as did Leon Coombs and Adam France.
