Jason Mitchell has been appointed the coach of the South Mandurah Football Club for the upcoming Peel Football League season.
Mitchell replaces premiership winning coach Kallen Williams who departed the club just before Christmas for an employment opportunity in Esperance.
He is not unfamiliar to the club having coached their reserves side throughout a period where Daniel Haines was the senior coach.
It's not the first time Mitchell has applied for the role losing out to Paul Pannell back in 2018.
In other news, the PFNL have scrapped its second division competition.
Clubs advised the league they wish to have the governing body focus on what should be the core business of the competition.
Core business set to be the league, reserves, colts and women's competitions.
The PFNL are set to announce their fixtures for the 2022 season in the coming weeks.
