Peel triumph at Country Week

The Peel Cricket Association has won the A Section Country Week grand final defeating Albany at the WACA.

Peel batting first posted 269 thanks largely to a better than a run a ball 157 from Corey Wasley.

Wasley belted 16 fours and six sixes in his 148 ball innings.

Teague Wyllie contributed with 51 as Peel were bowled out with two balls remaining in their allotted 60 overs.

In the chase Albany struggled to find momentum Mitch Brown claiming three top and middle order wickets.

Jayden DeRosa wrapped up the tail finishing with figures of 5/41 while Mitchell Shellam collected five catches as wicket keeper.
