Rockingham City push NPL ladder leaders

Rockingham City are edging closer to securing full-points despite going down 2-1 to ladder leaders Floreat Athena.

The visitors opened the scoring but it didn't take long for City to equal up proceedings when Hamish Van Dieken found the back of the net.

Rockingham held strong before a lapse in the defence left them exposed and Floreat took full advantage finding the match winning goal from Sean McManus.

City remain anchored to the bottom of the NPL table six-points behind their next rival.

Another opportunity presents next weekend for Rockingham when they take on Bayswater City at Lark Hill.
