Rockingham City are celebrating their first win of the State League season, defeating Joondalup United 2-1 at the weekend.
Kieran Shail and Ross Bett gave Rockingham a 2-0 lead at half time before Joondalup's Gavin Knight fought back and scored a goal in the second half.
Rockingham managed to maintain their lead, taking out the match, their first win from six games.
After parting ways with coach Lee Taylor during the week, manager Kris Donnell stepped in as coach, making a few changes to the side.
"I think the team have played well in patches over the last few games but just haven't managed to get that result that we needed," Donnell said.
"The weekend's result was just a little change of formation, we brought a couple of players in."
Rockingham City currently sit at 10th on the first grade ladder, with just three points separating the bottom six teams.
