The Eagles have slumped to their third loss in a row worn down by a determined Kangaroos outfit by 10-points.
Inaccurate kicking on a wet night cost the Eagles dearly as the Roos wrestled their way to a 10.10.70 to 8.12.60 victory.
West Coast led by eight points at half time before a three goal unanswered third quarter from the Roos boosted them to the scoreboard advantage.
The Eagles burst out of the blocks at the beginning of the last kicking four quick goals only for the visitors too ware them down again and run away with the four-points.
Josh Kennedy, Oscar Allen and Liam Ryan booted two goals each in the losing performance.
Coach Adam Simpson said the side lacked consistency.
“Decision making, unforced errors, hesitation, then you turn the ball over. We’ve got to work through it. It’s football, and some times you’re down on form. We have to look at the team.”
“On paper we look good. But our output isn’t there. That’s our challenge. We have to work hard, show the good stuff and be honest with the bad. It’s frustrating but we’ve got to stick together.”
The Eagles take on the Crows next Sunday at the Adelaide Oval.
