A man of the match performance from Tim Hutchinson has lead Singleton to the A grade Peel Cricket Association title.
Hutchinson hit an unbeaten 60 including five boundaries accompanied by some late order hitting from Chris Loveridge who belted 50 not out from 26 balls made up of six fours and a six to help Singleton post 8/197.
Loveridge backed up his runs with the bat to claim an early wicket with the ball as Halls Head's innings stalled early in the chase.
At 3/88 Halls Head looked as if they had the chase in hand before losing two quick wickets to be 5/93.
Hutchinson took the ball capturing the next three wickets leaving the chase in trouble at 7/139.
It all looked lost for Halls Head at 8/154 when Joe Slade and Chris Mills came together.
The pair combined for 45 but ultimately the team fell two runs short just with Mills run out off the last ball of the innings.
