Sloppy defensive errors cost Glory

Two first half goals from Central Coast Mariners was enough to down Perth Glory 2-1 at HBF Park.

Costa Rican international Marco Urena has broke his A-League duck and Matt Simon found the back of the net as the visitors bolted for the finish line.

Glory pulled one back in the 65th minute through Bruno Fornaroli, but couldn't find the equaliser.

Perth had a number of chances in the dying minutes Andy Keogh failed to convert a header, Daniel Stynes having a close-range air swing, and Fornaroli sending a header just going over the top.

Wellington Phoenix now await the Glory the match in Wooloongong on Sunday.
