Rockingham-Mandurah have gone down to Subiaco-Floreat in a two-day Premier League clash at Floreat Park at the weekend.
The Mariners won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 168 runs in their first innings on day one.
They went into day two holding Subiaco-Floreat at 1/23 off the first 15 overs.
Subiaco-Floreat then declared at 6/237.
"It was a really disciplined effort from Leon Coombs and Adam France, and as a bowling group we actually met all our KPIs," coach Kris Kennedy said.
"But Subiaco-Floreat's class batsmen Jayden Goodwin scoring 62 and Cam Green scoring 74 pulled them over the line."
The Mariners are up against Claremont-Nedlands at Cresswell Park in another two-day game this weekend.
"Claremont-Nedlands have been top of the table for the last couple of years," Kennedy said.
"They've got some really strong, experienced batsmen.
"I'm sure if we can be disciplined in our efforts and execute the best that we can, we're definitely going to be in the game."
