Swiss pair Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic have won Perth's Hopman Cup defeating Germany in the final.
Federer had a straight sets 6-4, 6-2 win over Alexander Zverev but his hard work only to be lost when Angelique Kerber defeated Bencic in the women's singles 6-4, 7-6.
It all came down to a thrilling mix doubles with the Swiss coming up trumps 4-0, 1-4, 4-3.
Germany missed a championship point earlier in the deciding set before Zverev smashed a return into the net to hand Switzerland the title.
Federer said it is a great start to the summer.
“What a thrill it was — not just the match point, but also the whole match and the whole week." Federer said.
“It’s great fun. I’m happy, I’m proud to represent my country. It’s been a super pleasure teaming with Belinda.”
