Albany based trainer Steve Wolfe has claimed the Mandurah Cup with The Great One at Pinjarra Park.
The Great One, a $14 chance received a gun ride by jockey Natasha Faithfull who lobbed the horse in the perfect condition from the jump.
In the final 200m Faithfull went head to head with the eventful second place Big Screen with Shaun O'Donnell aboard getting the horse in front by a nose in front of the judge.
Creator finished well to finish third while National Guard ridden by William Pike in its first start in WA flew down the outside late to finish fourth but ultimately left too much to do.
