Thunder ready to strike

Peel Thunder take on Claremont this weekend in the last round of the WAFLW home and away season.

Last weekend Peel defeated the top of the ladder Swan Districts for the first time this season.

Coach Steve Markham said the 21-point result wasn't quite a reflection of how the game was played.

"It was a score that probably blew out a little bit because Swans certainly moved the ball really well but our defence stood up really well and shut them down."

Markham full of praise for his players are correcting the errors from the previous week.

"Last week we were inaccurate in front of goals we worked on that and talked about composure plus getting the ball more back in the corridor.

"We executed everything that we wanted to do on the weekend really really well, it was probably our best game of the year."

The victory guarantees the Thunder second spot, a double chance and a real possibility of going back to back.

"It's a good place to be with only one game to go."

The Thunder take on Claremont on Sunday afternoon from 12:05pm.
