Wildcats travel hurdle grows bigger

The Perth Wildcats will need to overcome further fixture challenges in a bid to make the another NBL finals series.

The revamped summer of tennis means Perth will need to travel for two extended periods rather than just one that has been the case in previous years.

RAC Arena will be out of action between October 27 and November 15 whilst the venue host's the Fed cup final.

Perth will be back on the road when the new ATP event is launched in WA between December 28 and January 10.

Last season the Wildcats won just one of their five matches on the road during the then Hopman Cup.

Each club will play four teams twice and four sides three times. The introduction of South East Melbourne Phoenix forced the fixture rethink.
