Dockers forward Brennan Cox has been named the round 12 AFL rising star nominee.
Cox prevailed over teammate Adam Cerra who was widely tipped to win this week's nomination.
The 19-year-old booted four goals in the Dockers win over Adelaide on Sunday.
Cox made his debut in 2017 and said he'd been working on his goal kicking at training.
“I was lucky enough to get in the right position and take a few marks and I was able to kick straight, which has been a bit of a struggle lately,” Cox said.
Coach Ross Lyon said it was reward for effort.
“We have been impressed with how Brennan has continued to build since coming back into the team,” Lyon said.
“Brennan has continued to work very hard on all aspects of his game, including how he prepares and trains.
