A live music fundraiser supporting youth suicide prevention in memory of young musician Amberly Lynch.
The Forever 18 Mini-Fest is presented by Amby’s Army, an initiative established in 2025 following Amberly’s death on March 12, 2023, shortly after her 18th birthday. Amberly was a musician who loved performing and bringing people together. Her family created Amby’s Army to raise awareness of youth suicide prevention and support initiatives that encourage young people to seek help and speak openly about mental health.
The event comes at a time when youth suicide and mental health have been at the forefront of public attention in Western Australia, highlighting the importance of awareness, early support, and prevention.
Headlining the event is rising country-pop artist Emily Joy, a graduate of WAAPA and Berklee College of Music who is gaining recognition on the Australian country music scene. Her chart-topping single Barricade saw her named a grand finalist in the Toyota Star Maker competition, followed by a West Australian Country Music Award and a national tour with Adam Brand.
In 2024, she performed on the main stage at The Muster alongside Morgan Evans and Travis Collins and delivered her first nationally televised performance on Telethon. She has built a growing national audience, with more than 130,000 followers and over four million online views.
She will be joined by soul and blues performer Sgt Hulka, folk-rock duo Shanks Pony (featuring Amberly's father Todd), and emerging electronica artist HDC.
Organisers say the event aims to raise funds, increase awareness, and bring the community together in support of youth suicide prevention.
Forever 18 Mini-Fest will be held at Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle, with doors opening at 5pm.
Proceeds from the event will support youth suicide prevention initiatives through Amby’s Army.
