Once Upon a Mattress (Junior version). This is a fun retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Princess and the Pea” Prince Dauntless the Drab is desperate for a bride, but his pushy mother wants to keep him under her influence. Her mute and timid husband is trying hard to support Dauntless, with the help of his good friends the Minstrel and the jester.
When a hopeful candidate (Princess Winifred) arrives from the marshlands, the entire court is definitely on her side…..and it looks like the Queen may finally get a big shock. So she teams up with her evil wizard to make a test for Winnifred….…. but their tests are rarely fair.
Tickets (all seats $12) are available at the link above. The show is just about an hour in length and suitable for Pre Primary aged children and above. Come along and support our local burgeoning youth talent!
