Coast FM's Winter Appeal 2026

In the Peel region, too many people are doing it tough. Some are already without a safe place to call home, while many more are living on the edge and at risk of homelessness.

Homelessness doesn’t always look how people expect. It can affect families, young people, older Australians, and people with pets.

This Homelessness Prevention & Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on the issue and asking our community to help support people doing it tough.

This campaign is about more than emergency relief it’s also about awareness, prevention, dignity and long-term support.

We’re collecting donations to support people currently experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

We’re calling for NEW or NEAR NEW items only, because dignity matters.

Items urgently needed:

  • Sleeping bags
  • 2 person tents
  • Swags
  • Warm winter clothing
  • Track pants
  • Jumpers
  • Socks
  • New underwear
  • Blankets
  • Camping mats / foam mats
  • Toiletries
  • Non-perishable food

Donations can be dropped off at The Wave's Studios: 141-143 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah between 9:30am and 3:30pm weekdays, from Monday July 13, 2026.

Deadline for donations: Friday 31st July at 12 noon.

If you'd prefer to help with a monetary donation, you can do so directly at westauscrisis.org, it’s a powerful way to get immediate support to those who need it most.

Let’s not wait for someone to hit crisis point.

Let’s help prevent homelessness before it starts and support those already facing it with care and compassion.

Because giving isn’t just about making a donation... It’s about making a difference.

Homelessness Awareness Week Monday 3rd to Sunday 9th August held at Mandurah Forum and across the Peel region.

Proudly supported by WestAus Crisis Care & Welfare Services and 97.3 Coast FM.
