A 22 year old man has been charged over the death of Greenfields father Axel Boreski.
The 27 year old died in hospital after being found injured on Leighton Road East in Halls Head about 5am on Saturday with life threatening injuries.
The West reports Mr Boreski was stabbed on his walk home from a night out and was forced to call him self an ambulance while he bled to death.
He was conveyed to the Peel Health Campus where he died a short time later.
Leighton Road was blocked off by police as forensic officers scoured the scene for any clues.
Police divers were called in to search the waters off the Mary Street bridge.
Homicide detectives have now charged a 22 year old man from Halls Head.
He'll appear on a murder charge in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
Mr Boreski leaves behind his four-year-old daughter Summer and three-year-old stepson Dallas.
