Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad have charged a 25-year-old man from Ellenbrook following their investigation into the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl in Ellenbrook.
It will be alleged that at approximately 12:30am on Monday 27 December 2021, the man entered a home and sexually assaulted a child that was sleeping in her bedroom.
At approximately 5:30pm yesterday, Wednesday 29 December, the man was taken into custody. He has been charged with:
- Sexual Penetration of a Child Under 13
- Indecent Dealings with Child Under 13 Years
- Deprivation of Liberty
- Impeded another person's normal breathing or blood circulation by blocking nose or mouth
- Impeded another person's normal breathing or blood circulation by applying pressure to neck
- Aggravated home burglary and commit
He will appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today, 30 December 2021.
