A 51-year-old Armadale man has been arrested and charged over child sexual abuse allegations stemming back to his time as a rugby coach in the 1990s.
Sex Offender Management Squad detectives have charged a 51 year old man as a result of their extensive investigation into allegations of historical child sexual abuse.
It is alleged between April and June 1993, the man sexually assaulted a boy who was 13 years old at the time of the first incident.
It is further alleged in June 1994 the man indecently assaulted another boy who was 14 year old.
These incidents occurred at the man’s home in Coolbellup.
The man was the boys Rugby League coach.
He played and coached Rugby League between 1980 and the mid-1990s at a club in Willagee and in the late 1990s at a club in Mosman Park.
It will also be alleged between December 2003 and February 2004, the man sexually assaulted a boy who was 14 year of age at the time of the first incident.
The offences occurred at the man’s home in Armadale.
The 51-year-old is currently in prison and has been charged with:
· Two counts of Sexually Penetrated a Child over 13 years and under 16 years;
· One count of Indecently Deals with a Child over 13 years and under 16 years; and
· One count of Sexual Penetration without Consent.
He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 6 March 2018.
