Police responded to reports of a man with a firearm on Mandurah Terrrace and closed roads in the area before establishing it was a false report.
At about 5:45pm on Sunday, police were called to Mandurah Terrace where it was reported that a person was in possession of a firearm.
Multiple police resources attended including the Tactical Response Group.
Roads were blocked while officers cleared the area, establishing that it was a false report.
No firearm was found.
The caller is assisting police with inquiries.
